Our courses

Eight courses in two tracks. Every one is hands-on -- your team works on the jobs they actually do, not practice exercises. Each course stands on its own, and each one builds on the last.

Two tracks

Generative AI -- the tools that answer you

Your team writes, analyzes, summarizes and drafts with AI, then builds assistants that do it their way. This is where nearly every company starts, and where most of the time savings come from.

Agentic AI -- the tools that do the work for you

Instead of asking for an answer, your team builds something that runs the process. It picks up the task, does it, and hands back the result.

The plain version: generative AI is a chatbot. Agentic AI does it for you. Most teams learn the first before the second, because the second does not work without it.

Generative AI series

Three courses. Each is a standalone credential; take them on their own or as a series.

Course 1

Foundations of AI

Everyone starts here. No background needed.
6 hoursAll staff. No technical background assumed or required.

Prerequisite

None. This is the entry course.

What your team will be able to do

  • Pick the right tool for a task, and know which work should not go to AI at all
  • Write prompts that work, and fix them when they do not
  • Catch what AI gets wrong: made-up sources, confident errors, and bias
  • Set up an account securely, and know what must never be pasted into a chatbot
  • Leave with one real task from their own job solved, and the time saved measured
Course 2

AI at Work

Put AI to work in the tools you already pay for.
12 hoursAnyone who spends their day in email, documents and spreadsheets.

Prerequisite

Foundations of AI

What your team will be able to do

  • Use the AI already built into their email, documents and presentations
  • Understand why the built-in assistant behaves differently from the chat window
  • Know why a document they just added is not showing up yet, and how to fix it
  • Leave with three tested use cases from their own job and a prompt library to share
  • Write down an AI-assisted process so a colleague can run it
Course 3

Building AI Assistants for Your Role

Build an assistant for real work, not a demo.
12 hoursPeople with a recurring task worth automating, and a team that would use it.

Prerequisite

AI at Work

What your team will be able to do

  • Know when an assistant is worth building, and when a good prompt is enough
  • Write instructions that hold: role, tone, scope and output format
  • Set guardrails so it refuses what it should refuse
  • Connect it to company knowledge, within the data rules you have set
  • Leave with a working assistant, tested on a real departmental task

Agentic AI series

Three courses, stacked the same way. These build on the Generative series.

Course 4

AI Agent Foundations

Where AI stops answering and starts doing.
12 hoursGeneral staff. No software development background assumed or required.

Prerequisite

Building AI Assistants for Your Role

What your team will be able to do

  • Work in an agentic environment, and know when a task needs an agent rather than a chat
  • Give an agent your company's own voice, brand and rules, from real material
  • Update what the agent knows without rebuilding it
Course 5

AI Agent Skill Development

Turn a repeating job into something the agent can run.
12 hoursGeneral staff. No software development background assumed or required.

Prerequisite

AI Agent Foundations

What your team will be able to do

  • Spot which of their own tasks are worth handing to an agent, and which are not
  • Design the task before building it: what done looks like, what it needs, and the limits it must never cross
  • Build and run a reusable skill on their own work
Course 6

AI Agent Workflow Development

Several pieces, handing work to each other.
12 hoursGeneral staff. No software development background assumed or required.

Prerequisite

AI Agent Skill Development

What your team will be able to do

  • Judge whether a job in their own work needs this, or whether something simpler would do
  • Break a process into named steps, with checkpoints where a person signs off
  • Build the pieces, and a separate check that verifies the result

Train your own trainers

For organizations training at scale, without booking us every time.

Course 7

AI Trainer Certification - Generative

Qualifies your people to teach the Generative series.
25 hoursInternal trainers and L&D teams.

Prerequisite

All three Generative series courses, completed as a participant.

What your team will be able to do

  • Teach Foundations of AI, AI at Work, and Building AI Assistants for Your Role
  • Run the hands-on sessions, and help someone whose build is stuck without taking it over
  • Coach one to one on a participant's own build
  • Adapt the material to the tools your organization actually uses
Course 8

AI Trainer Certification - Agentic

Qualifies your people to teach the Agentic series.
25 hoursInternal trainers and L&D teams.

Prerequisite

All three Agentic series courses, completed as a participant.

What your team will be able to do

  • Teach all three AI Agent courses
  • Teach on either supported agentic platform
  • Run a room where multi-step systems are running live, and sort out failures on the spot
  • Tell the difference between something built wrong and something designed wrong

However it fits your team

Every course runs live with an instructor or self-paced, and in person or online. An organization can mix these within one group -- some people in the room, some working through it on their own schedule.

Learning objectives, required work and assessment standards are identical across every delivery mode.

Each course includes role-specific self-paced material through the SkillSpout Current, available from 30 days before through 30 days after.
